Job summary

Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care PA is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for Lancaster county areas. The role involves assisting patients with ADLs, toileting, transfers, ROM, and light housekeeping, Monday through Friday 8:30am–5:00pm. You will collaborate with hospice staff to deliver compassionate care in a home health setting.

Qualified candidates hold a State Certified CNA license. Hospice or home health experience is preferred, though 1 year is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Must hold State Certified CNA license.
• Experience in hospice or home health preferred.
• No experience required but 1 year preferred.
• Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: personal hygiene, grooming, skin care, nails.
• Assist with toileting, transfers, positioning, and turning.
• Support prescribed exercise and ROM under supervision.
• Help with light housekeeping and patient laundry.
• Feed and assist with meals.
• Take temperature, pulse, and respirations as directed.
• Report condition changes to the Hospice Nurse and document appropriately.
• Assist or remind patient to take medications per regulations.

Now Hiring -Certified Nursing Assistant - {Lancaster county-Millersville & Landisville areas-and York County}

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

ThisCertified Nursing Assistantwill be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails.
• Provides assistance in toileting; positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient.
• Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse.
• Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen, if needed and patient laundry.
• Feeds and assists with meals.
• Obtains temperature, pulse and respirations as supervised by the Hospice Nurse.
• Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, if in a facility, to the facility nurse and documents the information on the Home Health Aide Certification of House form, including the date and time of the report and the person receiving the information.
• Assists or reminds the patient to take medication, in compliance with regulations of appropriate regulatory and accrediting bodies.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Professional Experience:

• Must have a State Certified CNA license
• Experience in hospice or home health, preferred
• No experience necessary but 1 year, preferred
• Must be willing to travel
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
