Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a compassionate CNA Hospice Aide to support patients and families at home under the care plan. You will assist with daily living, meals, and light housekeeping, while documenting changes for the nurse to ensure comfort and dignity at end-of-life care.

Required are CNA certification, CPR, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and driving to patient homes. The role offers comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant (CNA) as per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics for activities such as ambulation, transfers, ROM, and positioning, plus household chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status; notify nurse if unable to perform a task.
• Follows written instructions from a registered nurse per care plan.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
