Responsibilities include personal care, meal prep, light homemaking, and reporting patient changes to the nurse. A CNA background and CPR certification are required, along with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant per state rules.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Follows safety guidelines and proper body mechanics during tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the RN.
• Follows written instructions from the RN before delivering care.
• Assists with prescribed exercises as directed by a nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
