Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is hiring a full-time hospice aide in West Virginia to provide compassionate personal care at patients' homes. The role offers daytime hours with competitive hourly pay and access to comprehensive benefits.

You will work under a registered nurse plan of care, promoting safety and comfort for patients in a home setting. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, current CNA certification, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CNA certification is required and must be in good standing.
• CPR certification is required and must be current.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, ROM, positioning, and basic household tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follow nurse instructions in the plan of care.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as directed.
• Performs simple urine tests for glucose, ketones, and protein.
