Job summary

Serenity Hospice in Allentown, PA is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate end-of-life care to terminally ill patients in the Allentown area. Work under RN supervision to meet personal needs and promote comfort, with a focus on dignity and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CNA and/or HHA certification.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Licensed driver with insured automobile.
• Ability to provide compassionate hospice care and promote patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse to meet patient personal care needs and promote comfort.
• Observe and report patient conditions and changes.
• Promote quality, continuity, and safety of patient care.
• Perform standard CNA duties as required.

Your responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort
• Responsible for observing the patient and reporting these observations
• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care
• Certified nursing assistant duties

Required skills and qualifications

• Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements
• One year of previous experience working in the healthcare industry
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to comfortably provide specialized care to the terminally ill
• Valid CNA and/or HHA Certification
