Job summary

Affinity Health Management is seeking a Director of Clinical Services in Washington, DC to lead hospice clinical operations, supervise an interdisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with CHAP standards and all legal requirements. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse licensed in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Directs alternate in writing to fulfill DCS duties.
• Supervises all direct and indirect patient services.
• Guides coordinators and Clinical Managers to improve hospice care services.
• Assists Clinical Managers in managing clinical teams and planning.
• Supports assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family care.
• Assists in budget preparation and administration.
• Interprets operational indicators to adjust staffing, revenues or expenses.
• Evaluates performance of Clinical Managers and clinicians.
• Hires, evaluates and terminates personnel.
• Conducts annual or more frequent clinician evaluations.
• Maintains patient records and reports in compliance with laws.
• Ensures maintenance of inventory and equipment for patient services.
• Oversees orientation and ongoing education for staff.
• Ensures quality and safe delivery of hospice services.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing with 3 years management experience in hospice or related care

RN license in good standing

Four years’ hospice/home health/clinic/health facility experience with supervisory role

Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse preferred
