Job summary

Haven Hospice in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations who is compassionate and strategic, to lead patient care, nursing supervision, and budget management while driving clinical excellence in end-of-life care.

The role requires RN licensure in Florida, a BSN, and 3+ years of hospice leadership. You will oversee all clinical services, develop staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote hospice services within the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing; RN licensure in Florida.
• Three years of management experience in a hospice or related health care.
• Ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel; strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all patient care services provided by the hospice team.
• Supports and advises nursing supervisors to help improve patient care.
• Assists with patient care planning and evaluation as needed.
• Helps prepare and manage the hospice’s budget.
• Monitors patient volume to adjust staffing and resources accordingly.
• Hires, evaluates, and, when necessary, terminates staff.
• Conducts regular performance reviews for clinical staff.
• Ensures patient records are accurate and meet legal requirements.
• Develops and oversees training programs for new staff.
• Plans ongoing education and training.
• Promotes hospice services within the healthcare community.
• Serves as acting Executive Director when the main director is unavailable.
