Job summary

Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR seeks a Chaplain to join our interdisciplinary team on a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating on-call coverage for after-hours needs. The chaplain will assess spiritual needs, coordinate services, and provide bereavement support in alignment with patient and family beliefs.

Responsibilities include offering funeral services when requested, public speaking or training on spiritual issues, and collaborating with staff and local clergy to support

Qualifications

• Requires a Master's Degree in a related field.
• 1 unit of CPE with expectation of completing 4 units within 2 years.
• 5 years related experience and/or training; prior healthcare chaplaincy experience preferred.
• Exceptional listening skills and knowledge of death, dying and bereavement.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English; proficient with computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess spiritual needs of hospice patients and families.
• Coordinate spiritual services through hospice staff, local churches or community clergy.
• Provide funeral services when requested and assist with family planning.
• Provide bereavement support to families.
• Lead public speaking or training on spiritual issues and hospice care for healthcare providers.
