Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a casual, as needed Staff Chaplain to assist our Pastoral Care Department. The Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional care to patients, families and staff, plans ongoing pastoral services, and coordinates the bereavement program.

Evening hours, weekends, and on-call midnight–8am may be required, with a 30-minute response time. Eligibility includes a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), ordination and denominational endorsement, and CPD units as outlined.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Ordination and denominational endorsement required.
• Minimum 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education; up to 4 preferred.
• Board Certification as Chaplain preferred.
• Two years of related experience (Pastor, Associate Pastor, Counseling, Military Chaplain, Chaplain).

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care to patients, families, and staff.
• Coordinate the hospital bereavement program and spiritual care.
• Available for evenings, weekends, and on-call midnight to 8am.
• Maintain a 30-minute response time to requests.
