Job summary

Arkansas Hospice Monticello, AR is seeking a Chaplain to provide direct spiritual support and counseling aligned with patient and family beliefs. The role includes interdisciplinary collaboration, bereavement follow-up, and developing a spiritual care plan from the initial assessment.

Qualified candidates will have a seminary degree and at least three years of pastoral care, preferably in hospice or healthcare. A valid Arkansas driver's license and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited seminary or theology school, or appropriate hospital pastoral care certification.
• Minimum of three years pastoral care experience, preferably in hospice or healthcare.
• Valid Arkansas driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct spiritual support aligned with patient/family beliefs.
• Follow-up on spiritual and bereavement needs with social work/pastoral assessment.
• Collaborate with staff and community groups to address spiritual concerns.
• Develop a spiritual plan of care from initial assessment.
• Document visits in a timely, accurate manner.
• Coordinate with bereavement program and participate in memorial services.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient dignity.
