Job summary

Holy Cross Home Care and Hospice in Maryland is seeking a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time daytime role, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm. You will provide paraprofessional care to home care clients under the supervision of the primary nurse, following physician orders and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Maryland CNA certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hospice, palliative care, or home health experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide paraprofessional hospice care to home care clients as directed by the primary nurse and physician orders.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care per plan of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with the care team.
• Adhere to state Nurse Practice Act and agency policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Maryland

• High school diploma or GED.

• Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or home health (preferred).

• Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to provide emotional support to patients and families.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
