Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate Hospice Care Center Registered Nurse for our Care Center. This night shift role (8p–8a) runs every other weekend and focuses on delivering exceptional end-of-life care in a supportive environment.

You will identify patient/family needs, coordinate care, and provide preventive and comfort-focused nursing. You may float to other units as needed to meet patient care requirements, with supervision of LPN and aides where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent bedside nursing.
• Active Florida RN license.
• Valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate patient/family needs and provide preventive and supportive care to terminally ill patient/family unit.
• Utilize assessment, intervention and teaching skills to maximize comfort and quality of life for patient/family.
• Provide oversight and supervision of the LPN and/or aide for delivery of patient care in the GIP environment.
