Legacy Hospice, Inc. is seeking a Hospice Consultant (Sales) – Business Development to expand awareness of hospice benefits across healthcare providers and communities. The role emphasizes relationship-building, referrals, and education in a county-coverage market in Mississippi.

You will promote services to physicians, hospitals, and senior communities, coordinate with office teams, and help achieve monthly census goals through proactive outreach and strategic marketing plans.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience; in lieu of a degree, 3+ years of B2B sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage territory and schedule.
• Hospice or healthcare experience is a plus but not required; drug screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospice services to physicians, hospitals, senior living facilities and healthcare professionals.
• Conduct ongoing outreach and education with referral sources on hospice eligibility and Medicare guidelines.
• Coordinate document delivery and care initiation with physician offices and branch teams.
• Develop and execute strategic marketing plans with the Regional VP of Business Development.
• Track referral trends, market competition, and business opportunities.
• Participate in community events, public speaking, and educational sessions to raise hospice awareness.
• Support census and admissions growth by assisting branches to meet monthly goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of calls, visits, and territory activity.
