Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide patient-centered end-of-life care in patients homes across South Carolina, beginning in Spartanburg.

You will deliver clinical care with empathy while supporting families during a meaningful transition. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent and an active SC CNA certification, with a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active SC CNA certification.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors and those with illness, injury, or chronic disease in their homes.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nutrition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Check vitals, monitor intake/output, and document changes.
• Collaborate with home health nurses and aides to follow the care plan.
• Notify supervisor of issues requiring changes in care, medications, or equipment.

What You’ll Do

As a Hospice Aide (CNA), you will:

• Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease in their homes
• Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes
• Work with a team of home health nurses and aides to ensure a patient’s care plan is followed
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment

What You’ll Need

As a Hospice Aide (CNA) you should have:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in South Carolina
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Hospice experience preferred
