Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Shreveport, LA is hiring Full-Time and PRN Hospice Aide CNA positions. The role involves providing compassionate personal care and homemaking assistance to patients while partnering with an interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements include a minimum of 18 years old, HS diploma or equivalent, and current CPR certification. Transportation and valid license are required. ESOP benefits and generous PTO are offered, with competitive pay and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Formal certification training program or competency evaluation.
• Minimum of six months' work experience in direct care.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Dependable transportation with valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with personal care and homemaking assistance per state/federal regulations.
• Active member of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Communicate and follow up with supervisors about patient needs and concerns.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, families and facility staff.
