Job summary

Compassus is seeking an Admissions RN to manage referrals by phone and fax, co-sign referrals entered by LVNs or intake staff, and coordinate initial hospice assessments with the clinical team.

The role requires RN licensure in Washington and at least 1 year of RN experience, with hospice familiarity preferred. Duties include prioritizing referrals, data entry into EMR, insurance verification, and collaboration with care teams.

Qualifications

• Education to attain RN Licensure.
• Required - 1 year Registered Nurse experience.
• Preferred - 1 year Hospice experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes daily referrals to ensure timely patient admission.
• Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously.
• Checks and follows up on referrals daily.
• Enters referral information into the EMR, including medical and insurance data.
• Verifies orders from physicians and documents CTI information in EMR.
• Interfaces with Insurance Verification/Billing as needed.
• Communicates with supervisors to coordinate services.
• Alerts Pharmacy and PBM with admissions documents.
