Job summary

Providence at Home with Compassus seeks a Hospice Care Consultant (HCC) to grow hospice admissions by building strong relationships with healthcare providers and identifying eligible patients in the assigned book of business.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated with compassion and resilience, capable of navigating difficult conversations, and willing to work evenings and weekends to ensure timely patient care. You will use a consultative sales approach aligned with Compassus values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of successful sales experience.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals with ability to grow accounts.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills driving growth in long-standing accounts.
• Experience in Hospice/Healthcare preferred but top performers encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth within the assigned book of business by opening new accounts and expanding existing ones.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and partner with operations to ensure rapid admission of eligible patients.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and grow productivity.
• Cultivate and manage trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Demonstrate compassion and empathy to patients and families; stay resilient in emotional settings.
• Be ready to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, to ensure timely patient support.
• Seek feedback from referral sources and relay insights to the operations team to drive improvements.
• Adapt to changing priorities and be ready to support the team and business as needed.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners to improve understanding of hospice care.
