Job summary

VITAS Healthcare is seeking a healthcare sales professional to support patient intake, education, and transition to hospice care. You will develop consultative relationships with assigned accounts and present services to physicians and care teams.

The role emphasizes evaluating patient eligibility for hospice, obtaining admission agreements, and coordinating care with admissions and nurse colleagues. Travel required within assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare sales or service preferred.
• Experience in hospital, physician practice, LTC or ALF preferred.
• Proficient in presenting to groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient intake information gathering and education.
• Develop consultative relationships with assigned accounts and make effective presentations.
• Evaluate patients for hospice appropriateness via medical records review as ordered by the physician.
• Obtain agreement for admission of referred patients and families who meet admission criteria.
• Maintain competence with emphasis on pain and symptom management and care coordination.
• Take initiative to develop relationships with senior management, admissions, and patient care colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.
