Cornell Cooperative Extension in New York's Yates County seeks a part-time Horticulture & Gardening Coordinator to support the Horticulture and Natural Resources programs and coordinate a trained volunteer corps, including Master Gardener and Climate Steward activities.

This role emphasizes outreach to residents, recruiting and supervising volunteers, delivering educational programs, and coordinating resources with a focus on community engagement and lifelong learning.

Formación

• Associate’s or equivalent education required.
• Ability to meet travel requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
• Knowledge of agriculture, small farms, and market connections.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• Willingness to work with diverse audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver high-quality educational programs for adults and youth.
• Use diverse teaching methods including direct instruction, group experiences, and media.
• Conduct volunteer trainings and distribute resources.
• Coordinate with Master Gardener volunteers and other program participants.
• Provide program resources and information to community members.
• Represent CCE professionally to public and partners.
