Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County is seeking a full-time Association Program Coordinator II to manage 4‑H Youth Leadership & Workforce Development activities in Dutchess County. The role emphasizes volunteer coordination, 4‑H clubs, afterschool programs, and community partnerships.

The position requires strong planning and communication skills, the ability to work evenings/weekends, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent education in related field.
• Associate’s degree and two years’ relevant transferable program experience acceptable.
• Strong organizational skills to create effective systems and plan events.
• Effective verbal, written and visual communication using traditional methods and technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality 4-H Youth Leadership & Workforce Development programs for youth ages 5-19 through clubs, in-school enrichment, afterschool programs and events.
• Coordinate recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers; support program budgets and fundraising efforts.
• Coordinate enrollment, registration, marketing and communications, and documentation for programs and events.
• Collaborate with administrative and finance staff to support program operations, reporting and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines, and inclusivity in all program activities.
