Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Broome County is seeking a part-time 4-H and Community Nature-Based Educator to deliver nature-based education for youth and adults using direct teaching, field programs, workshops, newsletters and online formats.

Under the Environment Program Lead you will coordinate administrative tasks, assist with marketing and fundraising for 4-H programming, and collaborate with community partners while supporting program evaluation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent education (GED/High School Diploma and one year of transferable program/functional experience).
• Experience relevant to the role.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License and ability to travel.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Program Delivery, Evaluation and Applied Research – 85% to foster acceptance of 4-H Youth Development, using established materials.
• Assist in promotion, registration management and monthly newsletters.
• Expand offerings and partnerships with community organizations and volunteers.
• Coordinate program resources, evaluation data and reporting for funders.
