DC Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to support national defense projects. You will operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers and roadgraders to clear sites, level ground for runways and roads, and assist in combat engineer missions.

Training is provided and may lead to civilian construction certifications. You will learn maintenance of equipment and soil identification, with field and classroom components during Basic and Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsabilités

• Level earth for runways and roadbeds.
• Clear, excavate, and dig construction sites.
• Spread fill material and transport heavy equipment.
• Move heavy building materials with cranes.
