Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking Horizontal Construction Engineers to operate bulldozers, roadgraders, and other heavy equipment to clear sites for roads, airfields, and buildings. You will level earth, clear areas, and assist in construction projects on-site, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will gain hands-on experience and learn basic construction methods and engineering principles, with training that leads toward civilian construction opportunities.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the information on grade stakes and placing them.
• Cut and spread fill material with scraper.
