Job summary

Remedy Intelligent Staffing in Honolulu is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, customer-focused, and able to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments. 3+ years of accounting experience and a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices
• Reconcile customer payments and account balances
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Prepare monthly financial and revenue reports
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses
• Support external audits and tax preparation activities
• Maintain accounting records, contracts, and supporting documentation
• Respond to customer and vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies
• Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned
