Job summary

Hersons-Honda in Rockville, MD is hiring a Parts Counter Associate to join our fast-paced dealership team. You will assist customers in selecting required parts, provide price quotes, process payments and maintain an organized stock area.

Experience is not required, though valued; a can-do attitude, strong communication, and reliability are essential. You will lift up to 50 lbs, work a rotating schedule including Saturdays, and contribute to excellent customer service and smooth service

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Parts experience preferred.
• Maintain an organized, clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Provide price quotes and other information by phone.
• Pull and fill orders from stock.
• Notify manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials needing attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources when necessary.
• Handle payments and ensure invoices are properly signed for charge sales.
• Close out daily cash register and reconcile credit card invoices.

Parts Counter Associate We are seeking talented, energetic and motivated individuals with the ambition to become part of our team. You must have a Can-Do attitude. Experience is not needed though certainly valued. Whether you are new to the industry or have years of automotive experience we are looking for individuals to work in the fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assists all customers (retail & shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professionally & efficiently.
• Informs customers of part requirements and specials.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Notifies manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order -if necessary.
• Notifies all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been received.
• Follows up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory daily.
• Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Ensure that all charge sales are signed by the customer and all customers receive a copy of their invoice.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to maintain a professional image and demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer & phone skills.
• Positive attitude is a must!
• Close out daily cash register and consolidate credit card invoices at the end of the day
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Schedule/Hours are based on a 5-day rotating weekly schedule.

• M-F (8am-5pm/8:30am-5:30pm/ 9am-6pm)
• Saturday schedule (7am-4pm/8am-5pm/9am-6pm)
