Job summary

Jay Hatfield Auto Group in Frontenac, MO is hiring for a Parts Counter position to support our team and provide customers with exceptional experiences. The role requires a customer-focused, detail-oriented, and professional approach in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will work with the parts team to locate parts, handle inquiries, process orders, and communicate status to customers. Automotive parts sales experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Experience in auto parts sales is preferred.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• OEM & Bodyshop experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from inquiry to invoicing.
• Assist parts manager to locate parts not in stock.
• Process special order part requests for customers.
• Update customers on status and delivery of parts.
• Serve as backup to other parts staff as needed.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Follow all safety policies and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from customer inquiry to finding the part to invoicing the customer.
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
• Complete special order part request for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer.
• Communicate with customer on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Serve as backup to parts counterperson or stocking clerk as necessary.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.

Qualifications

• Must work Saturdays
• Experience with auto parts sales preferred.
• OEM & Bodyshop experience is preferred
• People focused and driven with providing great customer service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Proficient with computer skills is preferred
• Valid and current Driver's License
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen (THC not tested for pre-employment)
