Job summary

Jay Hatfield Auto Group is seeking a Parts Counter associate to support our new store, providing customers with exceptional experiences in a fast-paced, professional environment.

You will oversee the parts sales process, collaborate with the parts manager, handle special orders, communicate delivery status, and uphold safety and regulatory standards while delivering friendly, courteous service.

Qualifications

• Experience in auto parts sales preferred.
• Must work Saturdays.
• Valid and current Driver's License.
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from inquiry to invoicing.
• Work with parts manager to locate out-of-stock parts.
• Process special order requests for customer needs.
• Communicate with customer on delivery status.
• Provide friendly, professional service.
• Backup to parts counterperson or stocking clerk as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from customer inquiry to finding the part to invoicing the customer.
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
• Complete special order part request for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer.
• Communicate with customer on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Serve as backup to parts counterperson or stocking clerk as necessary.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.

Qualifications

• Must work Saturdays
• Experience with auto parts sales preferred.
• OEM & Bodyshop experience is preferred
• People focused and driven with providing great customer service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Proficient with computer skills is preferred
• Valid and current Driver's License
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen (THC not tested for pre-employment)
