Job summary

New Country BMW of Hartford seeks a full-time Parts Counterperson to support our Parts Manager. This role suits someone who enjoys people and has strong selling skills in person and over the phone.

It is a fast-paced, exciting position in a clean, family-owned environment. You will answer customer questions, take sales orders, fill parts requests for technicians, and help maintain stock while training on CDK/ADP systems.

Qualifications

• Dealership and CDK/ADP experience preferred.
• Must be able to explain technical information to the general public.
• Needs to have a good eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of auto parts, and experience in an automotive repair, or related business environment, is preferred, but we will train the right person.
• Must be available to work some Saturdays.
• Must Have Clean Driving Record.
• A stable work history and excellent references are needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer questions, take sales orders via phone and email.
• Promptly fill parts requests for technicians.
• Responsible for ordering parts, maintaining stock, searching information in catalogs and on computer databases, and handling payments.
• Heavy lifting and physical exertion needed at times.
