Pennybyrn has immediate opportunities for Homemakers, both full‑time and part‑time. Shifts are 6:30 am‑2:00 pm or 10:30 am‑7:00 pm, including every other weekend. Pay ranges from $13.00 to $13.50 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for weekend differentials.

The Homemaker performs a combination of cook and housekeeper duties for 20 senior adults living in a long‑term care household. As a cook, you will prepare all three meals, snacks, and special events from custom recipes, maintaining high quality standards. As a housekeeper, you will keep the kitchen, living areas, resident bedrooms, and restrooms clean and tidy. This role offers the opportunity to build relationships with residents and provide hands‑on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Prior professional cooking and cleaning experience.
• Experience working with senior residents or in group home/skill‑nursing/adult day care settings.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, staff, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to collaborate, manage conflict, and work well with others.
• Positive, reliable, detail‑oriented attitude with teamwork and flexibility.
• Understanding, patience, and tact when dealing with chronically ill individuals.
