City of Boca Raton is seeking a Community Resource Coordinator to support homeless populations and coordinate services across City departments, Palm Beach County, and community partners.

The role combines fieldwork and administrative tasks, with potential for remote work up to one day per week. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field and relevant experience in social services and homelessness initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or related field
• Three years of professional experience in social services; two years of direct homeless experience
• Florida Class E Driver’s license
• Additional four years of experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
• Additional two years may substitute for an associate degree

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, and manage the City’s homelessness response strategy.
• Act as central point of contact between police, city administration, and external stakeholders.
• Schedule and attend meetings with homeless outreach committees and other community stakeholders.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary outreach efforts involving Public Affairs, Police, CRA, Palm Beach County, and partner agencies.
• Establish and maintain relationships with social service agencies and housing authorities.
• Develop and oversee operational plans for safe cleanup of illegal encampments.
• Assist Police Officers and HOT in the field with complex cases and resource navigation.
• Develop risk reduction plans based on client assessments.
• Conduct advocacy efforts for the City’s homeless community.
• Write, review, and update policies for the homeless outreach program.
• Develop training for officers on trauma-informed care and de-escalation.
