Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator for its Financial Services Branch. You will interview applicants, explain financing options, and originate loans while building and maintaining relationships with buyers and builders.

You will manage the loan pipeline from application to funding, present loan products to sales staff in builder communities, and ensure disclosures and regulatory timelines are met. Occasional travel and overtime are required as part of delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• 1–2 years of related mortgage experience or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state.
• General mortgage banking knowledge (lock procedures, program analysis, underwriting guidelines).
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Interview mortgage applicants to understand financing options and recommend suitable loan programs.
• Manage the daily loan pipeline from application to funding.
• Provide disclosures to loan applicants promptly and in accordance with regulations.
• Make presentations on loan products during sales meetings and with sales staff in builder communities.
• Travel overnight as needed and provide weekend coverage in builder communities and during grand-opening events.
