Qualifications

• Active state Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
• MSN required for NP; PA does not require a master’s degree
• Maintain current state license and national certification
• NP must be licensed as an RN in the state of employment
• Current/active CPR and DEA licensure
• Five+ years nursing/healthcare experience; 2+ years PA/NP preferred
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Proficiency with EMR and MS Office tools

Responsibilities

• Performs evidence-based medical care by planning, directing, and evaluating patient medical needs
• Examines and treats chronic and urgent illnesses
• Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic testing
• Collaborates with caregivers and other health professionals
• Provides referrals to other practitioners when necessary
• Keeps patient records up to date
