Job summary

Abbott is seeking a per-diem Trainer for Acelis Connected Health’s home testing program. You will remotely set up training with customers, travel to their homes within your general region and demonstrate proper use of PT/INR equipment, plus explain reporting options.

Qualified candidates are licensed RNs with clinical experience; direct anticoagulation or homecare exposure is preferred. You must have reliable transportation, be comfortable with documentation and secure electronic communication

Qualifications

• Trainer must have clinical experience and be a licensed RN.
• Experience with anticoagulation management or homecare preferred.
• Health education training experience is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

• Remotely set up training appointments with customers or caregivers.
• Travel to customers' homes within the trainer's geographic area.
• Demonstrate proper use and care of PT/INR equipment.
• Explain test reporting options to customers.
• Document and submit patient training records electronically.
• Maintain communications with Acelis Connected Health via phone, email and internet.
• Use secure encrypted email for communications containing PHI.
