Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Trainer for Acelis Connected Health to provide personalized training to home testing customers on finger stick blood sampling, PT/INR device usage, and reporting responsibilities. This is a per-diem, state/city specific role with remote appointment setup and in-home travel.

The position requires a current RN with clinical experience; homecare exposure is a plus. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be comfortable with PHI and secure communications.

Qualifications

• Trainer must have clinical experience.
• RN licensure required.
• Direct experience with anticoagulation management or homecare preferred.
• Health education training experience is a plus.
• No lifting over 15 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Remotely set up training appointment with customer/caregiver.
• Travel to customers' home within trainer's geographic area.
• Demonstrate and instruct on proper use and care of PT/INR equipment.
• Explain test reporting options.
• Present themselves professionally.
• Document and submit patient training records electronically.
• Maintain communications with Acelis Connected Health via phone, email and internet.
• Use secure encrypted email for PHI communications.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Travel a minimum of 100 miles roundtrip.
