AbsoluteCARE Medical Center & Pharmacy seeks a community-based medical assistant to support the CB-NP in patient homes and community settings. The role includes follow-up visits, medication reconciliation, and education for patients, families, and caregivers.

The CB-NP may carry a patient panel and provide primary care to those unable to visit the medical center, with support from a Community MA for vitals, phlebotomy, scheduling, and care coordination.

Formación

• Certified or registered Medical Assistant in applicable state or valid EMS certification (NREMT-A/Paramedic).
• 3 years of Medical Assistant experience for MA candidates; EMT requires 1 year pre-hospital experience.
• Active CPR certification and phlebotomy skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; valid driver's license and insurance preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Act as community-based medical assistant supporting primary, transitional and acute care.
• Drive to and from medical center and member homes; schedule follow-ups.
• Prepare members for in-person and telehealth exams; take vitals and screenings.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens; administer meds with provider authorization.
• Review after-visit summaries; ensure follow-up visits are scheduled; maintain records.
• Provide coverage for team members and manage time to balance care tasks.
