AbsoluteCare Medical Center & Pharmacy is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to support a PCP panel, performing patient care, screenings, phlebotomy, and care coordination. You will work closely with providers to close quality gaps and manage the patient care plan.

The role requires 3+ years of MA experience, CPR certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch, and compensation ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, depending on

Qualifications

• Must be certified or registered as a Medical Assistant.
• Minimum 3+ years practicing as a medical assistant.
• CPR training & certification required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Act as the practice-based medical assistant, supporting onsite providers in facilitating high quality primary care.
• Greet members in the waiting room and establish rapport.
• Take vitals and perform age/condition-based screenings (e.g., point-of-care testing, EKG, spirometry, eye exam).
• Close quality measure gaps and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Document medical and social history; initiate medication reconciliation.
• Set a visit agenda with the member and provide warm handoff to the provider.
• Assist the provider with exams and minor office procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and collection of lab specimens.
• Prepare and administer medications and vaccines with provider authorization.
• Review after-visit summaries and ensure patient understanding.
• Ensure follow-up visits are scheduled prior to checkout.
• Follow infection control protocols and clean/disinfect equipment and spaces.
• Participate in daily huddle with the integrated care team.
• Coordinate pre-visit planning and service tasks to support PCP action plans.
