Job summary

AbsoluteCARE Medical Center & Pharmacy in Baltimore, MD seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support a PCP panel and facilitate visits within primary care. You will take vitals, perform screenings, assist with examinations, coordinate care, and help close quality gaps while building rapport with members to promote effective care plans.

Required certifications and at least 3 years of MA experience, CPR, and phlebotomy skills are preferred to respond quickly in emergencies and prioritize tasks

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant is required.
• 3+ years of experience as a medical assistant.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR training & certification.
• Phlebotomy skills.
• Ability to react quickly in emergencies and crises.
• Ability to prioritize multiple high-priority tasks.

Responsibilities

• Act as the practice-based medical assistant, supporting onsite providers in facilitating high quality primary care that promotes appropriate healthcare utilization.
• Greet members in the waiting room, establish rapport.
