Job summary

Lincare Holdings Inc. is seeking a Home Health Equipment Specialist to perform timely setups of ventilators, monitors, CPAP units, and other oxygen equipment in patients' homes.

The role includes patient education, assessments, and maintaining accurate records in line with policy and accreditation standards. The position requires experience in home healthcare, state licensure where applicable, and the ability to travel to patient homes, including on-call evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Level 1 - Familiar with equipment and services provided in the home healthcare setting, or other patient care, Required
• Level 2 - Minimum of two years in home healthcare, Required
• Level 3 - Minimum of three years in home healthcare, may be involved in training of other Healthcare Specialists, Required
• Must have completed all training/education required to obtain requisite certification, registration, and/or license described below, Required
• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position, Required

Responsibilities

• Provides patient education as an intricate part of the patient care activity according to patient need and Lincare policy, often in patients' homes
• Performs complete and professional patient assessments in accordance with Lincare policies and procedures
• Maintains current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
• Represents Lincare through professional personal appearance, patient care activities, and content of written reports
• Maintains patient records in complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards
• Works on-call evenings and weekends as scheduled, with frequency determined by center size and staffing
• Responds timely to on-call requirements
