Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a skilled Home Medical Equipment Technician to perform timely setups of ventilators, monitors, and CPAP units in patients' homes. You will also provide technical assistance and manage oxygen equipment as needed.

Responsibilities include patient education, assessments, keeping records, and following safety and regulatory policies. Some on-call evenings and weekends may be required, with travel by personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• Requires use of a personal vehicle with a valid driver's license
• Completion of training to obtain requisite certification, registration, and/or license
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state or national board
• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position

Responsibilities

• Provides patient education as part of patient care, often in patients' homes
• Performs complete and professional patient assessments per policy
• Maintains knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts
• Follows Safety & Regulatory Manual policies (OSHA, DOT, FDA, Emergency Planning)
• Represents Lincare in appearance, patient care, and written reports
• Facilitates prescription collection
• Maintains patient records in compliance with accreditation standards
• On-call evenings and weekends as scheduled
