Job summary

AdaptHealth seeks a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will serve as a subject matter expert, train new hires, and mentor teammates while ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to policies.

The role emphasizes equipment instruction, patient communication, and ongoing program knowledge to support respiratory patients and maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating instructions professionally.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes; contact clinical support when urgent patient needs are identified during home visits.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and simple repairs per company policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and product incidents per policy.
• Maintain working knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and HME products and services.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely, including delivery tickets and forms.
• Develop basic reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing documentation.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Assist with quality improvement programs and promotion of services to community referrals.
