Job summary

Pana Community Hospital seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide in-home respiratory care services across Quad County Home Health & Hospice locations. You will deliver, set up, educate, and maintain respiratory equipment and ensure patient safety during home visits.

The role requires travel to patient homes, strong patient education skills, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure quality care and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and evaluate patients' needs.
• Set up, monitor, and provide follow-up for respiratory equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and safety of respiratory devices.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, discharge planners, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and delivery records.
• Assist with equipment deliveries, setups, exchanges, and pickups as needed.
• Ensure equipment is fitted and functioning properly in patientss homes.
