Job summary

AdaptHealth seeks a Medical Equipment Technician to help patients transition care to their homes, clinics, or long-term care settings. You’ll deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment, while educating patients and caregivers to ensure comfort, safety and independence.

This field-based role requires strong customer service, adherence to HIPAA, and the ability to perform routine maintenance and simple repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred; two years for senior level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, safety and troubleshooting.
• Perform routine maintenance and simple repairs; report hazards.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and complete documentation.
