Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment for patients in their homes, clinics, or long-term care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers and ensure safe, independent use of equipment.

The role involves field-based visits, adherence to HIPAA and safety standards, and collaboration with care teams to maintain quality patient care and appropriate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service, field-based or healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and HME equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments to support ongoing care.
• Respond to equipment issues, including during emergencies when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled visits and ensure HIPAA compliance.
