Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment, empowering patients to manage care at home. This field-based role involves educating patients and caregivers, ensuring safety and independence.

You will perform assessments, maintenance, and timely documentation, with a focus on HIPAA compliance, safety, and quality patient care; travel within assigned area is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs; report equipment hazards or incidents as required.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
