Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients’ homes, clinics, or other locations as needed. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, and maintain equipment per company policies.

The role is primarily field-based with daily home visits; a valid driver’s license is required, and compensation ranges from $18 to $20 per hour depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education; healthcare or field service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills preferred.
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers on equipment use and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment in patient homes according to policies.
