Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or other care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure safe, comfortable and independent use of equipment and services.

The role is field-based with daily patient visits; requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and customer-service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience for senior level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments for ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per safety standards.
• Complete documentation accurately to support care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge for proper billing.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle and participate in on-call rotations.
