Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to support patients at home, clinics, or other settings. You will deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and home medical equipment while educating patients and caregivers to ensure safety and independence.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, staying HIPAA compliant, and supporting reimbursement through accurate documentation. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required or preferred.
• Field-based, delivery or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergencies.
• Maintain home oxygen systems during scheduled visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per policy.
