Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to support patients at home, clinics, and other settings by delivering, setting up, and maintaining respiratory and home medical equipment. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, and uphold HIPAA and infection control standards.

This field-based role requires a valid driver’s license and excellent customer service. Primarily field-based with daily patient home visits, responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
