Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician - DOT to safely deliver and set up home medical equipment in customers' homes or long-term care settings. You will drive vehicles 10,001+ lbs with DOT compliance, educate patients on device use, document visits, and maintain HIPAA-compliant practices while contributing to quality care.

The role emphasizes strong safety, customer service, and adherence to DOT regulations, with on-call duties as needed in a home-care environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry level sales and customer service background preferred.
• Military, delivery driver with sales exposure or healthcare tech experience considered related.
• One year of HME delivery experience preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license in residence state.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
• Must meet physical demands including lifting up to 160 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle 10,001+ lbs with DOT compliance.
• Educate customers on use of home medical equipment.
• Complete patient visits and follow-up reports.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and safety standards.
• Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and repairs as needed.
