Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician - DOT to ensure safe delivery, setup, and education of home medical equipment for customers. The role requires operating vehicles 10,001 pounds or more and maintaining DOT compliance, with setups at customers’ homes or long-term care facilities.

You will drive company vehicles, manage territory, document patient visits, and educate customers on respiratory and HME equipment while ensuring safety, accuracy, and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• One (1) year of HME delivery experience preferred.
• Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate (DOT Medical Card)
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles of 10,001+ pounds for delivery and setup.
• Educate customers on proper use of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Complete patient visit reports after setup and follow-up visits.
• Promote company services to referral sources in the community as appropriate.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and document all necessary information for reimbursement.
